In a heartfelt message to Zambia Association of Musicians (ZAM) President, Mr. Brian Bwembya (B Flow), rapper Tiye P has proposed an inspiring new initiative, a monthly concert dedicated to celebrating one living Zambian artist for their contribution to the arts.
His Proposals states below.
“Dear ZAM President, Mr. Brian Bwembya (B Flow),
First and foremost, allow me to congratulate you and the entire team at ZAM for the incredible initiatives and support you continue to provide to the arts and to artists across the country.
In the same vein, I would like to propose that ZAM introduces a monthly initiative where one artist is selected and celebrated through a dedicated concert honoring their work and contribution to the arts.
A percentage of the funds raised could go directly to the artist, while the remainder supports the association in organizing the next celebration.
I share this idea because I personally don’t believe in only celebrating people when they are no longer with us. I trust that you and the team at zam can take this concept further and turn it into something impactful.
Let’s normalize celebrating people while they are still alive. Lastly, a commemorative football match in his honor(Chiko wise) to both celebrate his life and raise funds would also be a meaningful addition.
I hope this message reaches you. I would have called, but nakwatafye American number. Tina tuma and then obama answers (jokes
)”
Many thanks,
Tiye P (BarKing)
