ZAMBIAN music sensation Lota Mandevu, popularly known as Drimz, has dealt with a severe blow in the digital sphere after losing both his official Facebook pages, collectively boasting a staggering 800,000+ fan base.
The celebrated singer first lost his original page, which had amassed over 680,000 followers.
The page was reportedly hacked more than a year ago, leaving the artiste disconnected from a significant portion of his online fanbase.
In an attempt to rebuild his social media presence, Drimz created a second page titled ‘Drimz Mr. Muzik.’
Though it quickly gained traction with thousands of followers, the page was unfortunately taken down by Facebook.
The platform reportedly flagged it for impersonation, linking it to the earlier compromised account.
Despite the setbacks, Drimz remains undeterred as he has since launched a new Facebook page under the name ‘Bashi Lota,’ a nod to his cultural identity and fan-favorite nickname.
The ‘Ba Mwankole’ hit maker stated that the page is aimed at re-establishing direct interaction with his supporters.
“While it’s frustrating to lose so many followers and years of work, I’m focused on reconnecting with my fans and moving forward. Bashi Lota is here, and we’re starting fresh,” Drimz wrote on his new Facebook page.
